Shy in nature but a savage at heart, DJ Sasha holds the music she was exposed to in her earlier years responsible for her inner hype. Growing up, Sasha spent most of her years listening to very soulful music, classic oldies, Disco, Funk, Soca, Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae and Dancehall. Although Dancehall was her first love, during her early 20s she started to fall in love with EDM.
These wildly vast perspectives have been fused together to create the eccentric genre bending artist that is, DJ Sasha. Known for her ability to manoeuvre through various genres during her sets, DJ Sasha has emerged as one of the few female djs in Barbados.
Unpredictable, her sound is heavily rooted within her Caribbean heritage and blending old with the new is what Sasha does best. With a harmonious blend of pulse pounding beats and feel good rhythms, Sasha’s flow is not to be compared to.
